Who Doesn’t Need a Reality Check?
How is it that I am just now finding this great web resource?
RH Reality Check is an online community and publication serving individuals and organizations committed to advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights. RH Reality Check is guided by the issues and recommendations identified in the Program of Action agreed on at the International Conference on Population and Development at Cairo in 1994. Protection is our watchword—we are contributing to the global effort to empower people with the information, services and leadership they need to safeguard their sexual and reproductive health and rights and to guard against false attacks and misinformation. RH Reality Check exists as a resource for evidence-based information, provocative commentary, and interactive dialogue.
This article on sex education led me to it. And as I peruse their archives and in particular articles related to infertility, reproductive health and the right to choose, I am more and more impressed. Kudos to fighting ignorance and misinformation with evidence-based articles and dialogue! I am looking forward to reading more.

Hi Gabrielle,
Thanks so much for the post about RH Reality Check! We’ve been around, in our current format, since April 2007. We appreciate the good words - we work hard to counter the misinformation and rhetoric coming from the far right on issues related to sexual and reproductive health and rights - both domestically and globally.
Feel free (anyone!) to sign up for our weekly newsletter (at the top of the homepage) for updates!
If you’re interested in the issues surrounding comprehensive sex-ed, we’re hosting a video contest called Fresh Focus - You can view over 30 videos submitted by young people ages 15-30 years old on what their sex ed experience was like - or what they wish it had been like! Check them out at http://www.dogooder.tv/freshfocusvideocontest/!
Thanks again for highlighting us!
