6000 Women in One Room!
I just returned from my first Pennsylvania Governor’s Conference for Women. It was incredible. Affirming. Inspiring. As I was sitting there listening to phenomenal females like Doris Kearns Goodwin, PhD, I realized that I have never in my life been surrounded by so many women. As my intern so aptly stated, “there is a lot of estrogen in here!” I am not sure if she meant that in a good way, but I knew what she meant and I think how she was feeling. As the day progressed, I became more and more thankful that I am finally at the point in my life where I love women. Seek their company. Appreciate them for both their uniqueness and commonalities. But, like my intern, it wasn’t always this way.
I cannot wait to share the things I learned and tell you about the fabulous women I met. I’ll try to give you the full scoop over the course of the next few days. In the meantime, here’s a new resource for young survivors of breast cancer dealing with fertility issues. Many, many thanks to Leigh from Feel Your Boobies for sharing this with me yesterday.
